A Few Key Points for Learning and Absorbing Movement

Proper practice must be followed to achieve precision from these forms. Each movement must be fully-developed to strike the right target. In order to perform a martial art movement properly:

  1. Do not be tense.
  2. Be relaxed.
  3. Coil and concentrate energy.
  4. Have the right position (degree).
  5. Strike the right target with explosive energy (ki or chi yuk gung).

Without the proper movement, you can injure yourself, or at best be very ineffective. Fabricated movement amounts to little more than exercise. An average person will absorb approximately 35% to 70% of the movements being taught without proper foundation. Very rarely will anyone absorb over 70%.

The foundation movements of Wae Gong, Nae Gong and Kyong Gong Sul Bope will fit all 8 different body types. Only when properly executed, will maximum strength be achieved. Without understanding and application of the foundation movements described earlier on, this handbook has little value.

There are 640 total sets of foundation movements (different types).

Note: Most average body types require 2-5 foundation sets, each foundation set has 16 movements.
